Hey there! So I, as many are, obsessed with Halloween!!! I LOOOVE Halloween, it is one of my favorite holidays. I always try to decorate before the first week of October is over. Today would be the first week of October, and I’m not decorated!! 😦 Because of this big move my decor hasn’t been unpacked yet… Sad face. So I decided to make a project with the few things I have unpacked. So here is a ‘DIY Pumpkin String Art!’ I love it and it is now hanging on my mantle.

So, lets get started.

First, what you will need:

Nails ( I used 43 one inch nails) or nice tacks

Wood plank or cork-board

After you get your wood or cork-board, put the tacks or nails into the shape of a pumpkin, (remember, no pumpkin is even on both sides, it’s okay if one side is higher than the other)

Then make a knot with the twine around one of the nails

We will cut of the access string from the knot later. Then make a zig zag pattern, looping round a nail then moving to the next one and looping that.

Then continue to do that until all the nails have loops and it looks complete. Then make another knot around the last nail and use the scissors to cut the access string off of both knots.

Poof! There you have your Pumpkin String Art ready to be hung.

I put mine up on my mantle and it looks smashing! The mantle still a little bland because the rest of decor is packed, but it’s getting there 🙂

You can add little things on it, like a little bat I found. I also left room at the bottom because I have a Halloween sign that would look great underneath it.

Till next time, Toodles!
