DIY Personalized Candle!

Awesome DIY Personalized Candle!

Hey there! I am here today to show you how you can make your very own, personalized candle. This is a great tutorial for any special occasion! My Grandma loves candles and has a bunch in her house, so I knew she would love this. Let’s get started!

You will need:

Blow Dryer

Tissue Paper (Not the kind you sneeze into)

Candle

Sharpies

Wax Paper

That’s it! First, take your candle and measure it. You want to make sure that your design will fit onto the candle! Next, take the tissue paper and draw on it with Sharpies. If little kids are drawing, you may want to tape down the edges so it doesn’t move as much.

This will bleed through, so you want to make sure that you have a piece of paper or something underneath it.

Then, cut out the design leaving about a 1/4 inch banner around the design.

Then, take your design and lay it on top of the candle. Very carefully wrap the wax paper around the candle, leaving a 2 inch overlap. Be sure to keep the design in place. Tape the wax paper together.

Next, Take your Blow Dryer and, on a hot setting, move it around where the design is. Be sure to never stop in one place! This may cause the candle to melt or your design will burn.

Blow on the candle for abut 1-2 minutes. Un-wrap the candle from the wax. The tissue paper will have stuck to the candle! If it isn’t stuck yet, re-wrap the design and keep blowing.

Ta-Da! You now have your personalized candle!
